Jamie Campbell Bower Will Play Jace!

It has just been announced that Bower from New Moon and Camelot has been officially cast as the brooding Jace Wayland in the upcoming Mortal Instruments movies.

Cassandra Clare tweeted to her fans:

"Yes, Jamie Campbell-Bower is Jace. And yeah, I am really really happy about it. And no, I didn't know it was definite until just now either."

I wish we could see the audition tapes to see how good he is. What do you guys think about Jamie as our Jace?

Clockwork Prince Cover: REVEALED

Thank you to the crew at Life After Twilight for posting this!

Review: Tron Legacy (2010)

Synopsis: The son of a virtual world designer goes looking for his father and ends up inside the digital world that his father designed. He meets his father's creation turned bad and a unique ally who was born inside the digital domain of The Grid. Source

Plot: So, I'm sure everyone knows where this is from, am I right? Such an awesome old movie to be remade. Great cast, new faces (Well, ones I've never seen!), and great visuals. I saw it in 3-D, opening night and it was amazing *insert high-pitched voice here*! Everything from the characters to the emotions and to the graphics and action, it was just awesome. Some reviewers complained that it wasn't "like the original," but it was a solid movie on its own. Along with this movie, it had great tracks (Special appearances from my favorite DJs of all time and hyperspace - Daft Punk) that gave the movie ambiance. Throughout the movie and trailers, I expected more action parts, but overall, it was great to watch just as it is.

Kevin Flynn/Clu (Jeff Bridges): I love this guy. One of my favorite "older" actors. He was great, considering he had to play two different parts (sometimes clashing). I do like how you see change within his character, and it was portrayed very well. I've always had a soft spot for Jeff Bridges; he's pretty awesome.
Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund): He was a stud muffin! He did very well in the movie, and he played Sam fairly good. I do like his sarcasm and his one-liners, which gave Sam a bit more depth. Had he not been Sam, I don't think I would've liked the character as much.
Quorra (Olivia Wilde): I love her character. She seemed so naive to Sam's outside world, away from the Grid, and she gave the movie, to me, a bit more realism to how characters react. She is a strong character, and I did enjoy her part. I'm planning to go see Cowboys and Aliens soon with my Dad, so I hope to see her again!
Castor/Zuse (Michael Sheen): He is such a cool kid. I love how eccentric he is in this movie! I did enjoy his part because he has been in a couple of movies, which one of my favorites is the series, Underworld, playing as Lucian. I've always enjoyed watching Michael Sheen, and I think he played Castor very well. I would say more, but that would spoil the movie!

Poster: I do like the promotional poster. It gives a peek of Sam and Quorra, as well as a snippet of the Grid's scenery.

Overview: This movie receives a 4/4. I did enjoy this movie a lot in theaters. So much, that when I got home from school, my sister and I raced to the store to purchase it on DVD as soon as it came out. I do enjoy the graphical aspects of the movie as well as the characters. You see a lot of bravery and strength in the characters as well as sadness and a bit of anger. There was emotion in the characters and not a bland storyline that I expected to see.

Something Deadly This Way Comes

"I'm Madison Avery, in charge if heaven's hit squat. . .and fighting it all the way. When Madison died the night of her prom, she knew her life would never be the same. Now she has a powerful amulet, a team of rogue angels by her side, and the ability to flash forward into the future to see the shape of destiny. And of course, now she's finally with Josh - a perfect boyfriend who doesn't even care that she's dead.
But being dead has its disadvantages, too. Madison feels caught between the light and the dark , and between her real life and her timekeeper status. When Madison has the opportunity to get her body back - to be alive again - she faces her most difficult decision yet. If she claims it, she could return to being a normal girl - and have a chance at a real relationship with Josh. But would having the one thing she wants most in the world also mean giving up everything she's worked so hard for?"
This new edition to the Madison Avery series by Kim Harrison sounds much better than the others. These have always been a fun read, and nothing serious. But I can't wait to see which one she will chose. Her old body and life back or where she is now? Catch this new book in stores on May 24th!

Book Blogger Hop: 5/20-5/23

Book Blogger Hop

Here is the weekly Blog Hop from Crazy For Books:

"If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?"

My answer: I would love to visit Vampire Academy from the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I think the whole setting is so complex and beautifully written that it seems real. I'd love to see how the vampire world works and its monarchy. I also would love the chance to meet Rose, Lissa, Chrisitian, Ambrose, Mikhail, Adrian, and, of course, Dimitri. *swoon* It would be awesome to see the school system also, I think I'd like to be a dhampir to see how the training works, but also want to see how Moroi power work. Plus, I might be able to find my own Dimitri. ;D

Review: Catfish

Synopsis: In late 2007, filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost sensed a story unfolding as they began to film the life of Ariel's brother, Nev. They had no idea that their project would lead to the most exhilarating and unsettling months of their lives. A reality thriller that is a shocking product of our times, Catfish is a riveting story of love, deception and grace within a labyrinth of online intrigue. Filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost document a story involving Ariel's brother, Nev, a 24-year-old New York-based photographer, and Abby, from rural Michigan who contacts Nev via Facebook, asking for permission to make a painting from one of his photographs. Source

Plot: The story begins as Nev Schulman with his brother, Ariel Schulman and friend, Henry Joost. Nev is an amateur photographer, who has recently been receiving pictures from a little girl named Abby, who lives in Michigan. Abby paints Nev's photos, which begins an online friendship with the two corresponding people. Soon enough, Nev reaches Facebook with Abby and her family. He then meets Abby's sister, Megan. Nev begins to fall for Megan, and soon, everything becomes spiraling down. While I watched this documentary with my sister, it was interesting. It wasn't an all too surprising ending, but it was good enough for this speculated 'real' time documentary, which is claimed by Ariel Schulman to be "completely real." This movie didn't seem all too interesting at first, but it got quite a good amount of reviews. I was skeptical as I watched this relationship blossom into something much different. The ending wasn't very surprising, but I did enjoy the movie because of the naivety that we see into today's cyber-society.

Nev - Oh I felt so bad for this man... Falling in love, being deceived along the way. Everything begins to just spiral down for this guy. He was the main center of attention, and I did enjoy his character. He did very well in the documentary, and I was glad they followed him around because he does personify the misled trust and naivety.
Ariel and Henry - Both of these characters weren't really mentioned, but they did play an important role during Nev's time on this film. Ariel is the one that suggests (SPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERS) to Nev that he visits Megan in Michigan. Henry, as well, is a pusher of the film. Honestly, without them, Nev probably wouldn't have done what he did.
Abby and Megan - Both mysterious girls. Abby isn't as hidden and quieted as Megan. Abby didn't play as big as a role as I thought she would've, but when she was on screen, she was the great finisher of the mystery. Megan is mysterious; that's all I can really say without spoiling the movie for everyone.

Poster: I do enjoy the promotional poster because that's honestly what drove me to rent the movie in the first place! You get to see a snippet of both Nev and Megan, which gives a little mystery to me, honestly, because I see the Facebook friend request thing (Confirm or Ignore) and also the sentence in between, "Think before you click." That is the whole slogan of this movie.

Overall Rating: This movie receives 3/4, simply because of the unique aspects of it balances out the somewhat cliche and predictable storyline that came with it. For a movie that was suspected as 'actual events,' it was a great watch. I recommend it for those who like documentaries or open-minded movie watchers, but if you're a specific genre watcher, I'd be iffy about buying this. Rent it!

Review: Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6) by Richelle Mead

Synopsis: Rose Hathaway has always played by her own rules.

She broke the law when she ran away from St. Vladimir’s Academy with her best friend and last surviving Dragomir Princess, Lissa. She broke the law when she fell in love with her gorgeous, off-limits instructor, Dimitri. And she dared to defy Queen Tatiana, leader of the Moroi world, risking her life and reputation to protect generations of dhampir guardian to come.

Now the law has finally caught up with Rose- for a crime she didn’t even commit. She’s in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She’ll need help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.

But the clock on Rose’s life is running out. Rose knows in her heart the world of the dead wants her back… and this time she is truly out of second chances. The big question is, when your life is about saving others, who will save you? Source

Plot: Many of you know how much I love this series. I don't think I have given any of these books less than four nail polishes. But, I have to say that this is officially one of my favorite series and this finale of the series is the best one. I loved the relationship between Rose and Dimitri. It was such a give and take between them that I was waiting for one of them to finally yell and say, "Just kiss me, you fool!" The quest for Tatiana's murder seemed like a lost cause, and then...well, the true murder was shocking! I especially loved the discussions and scenes with Spirit. Throughout the series, we've learned more and more about Spirit, but I think this one we actually saw the darkness of Spirit and how it effects Spirit users. Lastly, the monarch search for the new queen/king was amazing and so complex, you truly thought that Mead based this on a real event.

Characters: Rose-I love Rose. She developed so much from when we saw her in Vampire Academy to Last Sacrifice. I love when characters grow and Rose did just that. She learned what her heart truly wants and what she wants out of life. However, Mead does not disappoint us and gives us the usual Rose jokes and behavior, which I love.
Lissa-Lissa made me proud. She was finding herself as well and grew up. She knew what her position was in the world of vampires and wanted to make her family proud. I loved when she looked back upon her family, she never looked at them in the negative, but wanted to make them proud.
Dimitri-*swoon* As always, I am Team Dimitri and proud of it. I missed the gentle and romantic side of Dimitri and we got to see it in here. He's still struggling with his crimes as a Strigoi and you finally get to see what those feelings are. Rose helps them through those things and gives him an ultimatum which I loved.

Cover: I'm guessing the girl on the front is Rose. I love these new covers for the books and this one is gorgeous. The model is stunning and the trademark fence and Vampire Academy font never stops me from smiling.

Overall Rating: Of course, I will give this a four out of four. This series is so beautifully written that I still don't want the series to end. I recommend anyone who wants to write to read this series, it has things for everyone. Mystery, crime, romance, action/adventure, drama, etc. Plus, it has amazing characters and a beautiful plot.
Richelle Mead is going to have a short story on Rose and Dimitri which has a 2012 release date and Bloodlines is expected to be released August 23, 2011.

Vampire Diaries--Season 2, Episode 22: *Season Finale* "As I Lay Dying"

Sadly, I did not watch the season finale. My friends did fill me in on the low-down, but I'm not going to ruin a recap for you guys by trying to remember everything they told me. So, without further ado, here's the recap of the Season 2 finale for Vampire Diaries:

The episode opens with Elena watching Jeremy sleeping. She goes into Jenna's room, but when she leaves she discovers Damon waiting for her. He apologizes for feeding her his blood and says that although he doesn't deserve her forgiveness, he needs it. Elena says that she needs time and Damon sadly tells her to take all the time she needs. He returns home and gets a drink, before opening the curtains. He takes off his ring and stands in the daylight with his arms stretched out, so he begins to burn. However, Stefan arrives and pushes him back into the shadows. He refuses to let Damon kill himself and forces him into the cellar. He says he has Bonnie looking for a cure, but Damon tells him just to say goodbye now. As he begins to cough up blood, Stefan tells him to rest.

Meanwhile, Klaus wakes up naked in some woods. Elijah explains that he was a werewolf for two days, even when the full moon went. Klaus is happy that he can transform at will and smiles as he reveals that he remembers every kill. Elijah reminds him that they have a bargain - he wants to see the family members Klaus killed. Klaus says that he will follow through with the deal soon enough. Elsewhere, Alaric gets drunk at the Mystic Grill but is surprised when Stefan calls and reveals that Damon is dying. He agrees to help out. Meanwhile, Jeremy and Elena arrive at a special outdoor screening of Gone With The Wind. Jeremy is unconvinced but Elena explains that they need to keep living normal lives until Jenna's death isn't so hard to deal with. Caroline arrives with picnic food and tries to keep their spirits up.

Stefan and Bonnie go to the witches' house and Bonnie explains that she will try to summon Emily. Emily ends up possessing her body and Stefan asks how to heal a werewolf bite. Emily refuses to give him an answer, explaining that there is a natural balance to everything and maybe Damon deserves to die. She does hint that there is a cure, though. Suddenly, Bonnie screams and clutches her head. She explains that the witches don't want her there as she is abusing their power. However, she reveals that she heard them saying that Klaus is key to the cure. Meanwhile, at the police station, Carol Lockwood tells Sheriff Liz Forbes that she is unhappy with her progress in ridding the town of vampires. Liz insists that she is handling it but Carol threatens to replace her if she doesn't get some results soon.

Stefan arrives at the screening and pulls Elena aside to talk. He explains that Damon has a werewolf bite and admits that he could die. Elena is upset that she pushed Damon aside when he tried to apologize earlier and Stefan explains that he wanted her to know in case she wants to talk to him. He explains that he is going to speak to Klaus to find a cure, adding that if Klaus wanted him dead he would have killed him by now. He points out that he was the one who made Damon a vampire and he owes it to him to find a cure. Back at the Salvatore house, Damon has a flashback and remembers speaking to Katherine in the 1860s. She asks if he will miss her while he is off fighting and he says he will, but points out that she will still have Stefan. Katherine asks if it is so wrong for her to want them both. However, Damon hallucinates that Elena has joined them. Elena tells him that Katherine was just toying with him and he could have walked away - he had a choice. Back in the present, Damon realizes that his bite is getting worse.

Stefan goes over to Alaric's apartment to see Katherine, who is furious that she is still under Klaus's compulsion and can't leave the building. Stefan asks where Klaus is, but at that moment Klaus and Elijah arrive. Stefan announces that he needs Klaus's help but Klaus explains that first he has to stick by his deal to Elijah. Elijah explains that his brother gave his word that he would reunite him with his family, but Klaus suddenly appears behind him, saying: "So I shall." He stabs Elijah with the dagger and white ash, killing him. He turns on Stefan and stakes him close to his heart, taunting him that if he moves just slightly he will be killed. Stefan promises to do whatever Klaus wants if he gives him the cure for Damon. However, Klaus admits that he doesn't know whether Stefan will be any use to him. Later, Klaus talks about Stefan's murderous past, although Stefan says he hasn't been like that for years. However, Klaus says that's the kind of vampire he could make a deal with. He calls Katherine over and bites her, shocking her as she realizes she now has a werewolf bite. He then feeds her his blood and she heals so that Stefan realizes that Klaus' blood is the cure. Klaus says they should begin to talk.

Over at the Salvatore house, Alaric brings Damon some alcohol. Damon asks if Stefan sent him on suicide watch, adding that Stefan is just trying to right the wrongs of the past. He adds that Alaric should hate him as he is the reason Jenna is dead, but Alaric says he doesn't blame Damon. Damon adds that he also turned Isobel into a vampire. He heads over to the door and begins strangling Alaric through the bars, begging him to kill him. Alaric croaks: "Screw you" and stabs Damon with a syringe, causing him to collapse on the floor asking for Elena. Elena arrives at the house, but as she tries to go in Liz appears and covers her mouth, telling her not to make a sound. Back in the cellar, Damon asks for blood, but when Alaric goes to get it Liz appears and asks for Damon. Alaric tells her it's not a good time, but one of Liz's colleagues finds him and calls for her. They see Damon lying on the floor and break in, but when they do Damon is no longer on the ground. Instead, he is standing against a wall. He throws Liz against the wall and heads out. Alaric calls Jeremy, who is at the Gone With The Wind screening with Bonnie and Caroline. Jeremy admits that Elena went to see Damon and Alaric warns that he's in bad shape and the cops are after him. He advises Jeremy to get Elena somewhere safe if he finds her. Bonnie tells Jeremy to wait behind, but Jeremy refuses, saying that for once they can't stop him from getting involved.
Elsewhere, Liz takes Elena to the police station and hears that Damon has been spotted in town. Elena tells her that she is wrong to hate the vampires, but Liz points out that they are murderers. Elena begs to accompany her when she goes to get Damon, explaining that he is sick, but Liz asks a guard to make sure Elena is kept at the station. Meanwhile, Damon arrives at the screening and hallucinates, thinking he is seeing Katherine. Jeremy finds him and helps him into the Mystic Grill. Inside, Jeremy calls someone to tell them they are at the Grill. Liz arrives and shoots at Damon, but he rushes off quickly and the bullet hits Jeremy. Liz is shocked and, at that moment, Caroline and Bonnie arrive. Bonnie points out that Jeremy's ring won't work because he was hurt by a human, not a supernatural creature. Caroline feeds Jeremy her blood - much to her mother's shock - but it doesn't work. Bonnie realises that she knows what to do and takes him away with Alaric, who has just arrived. Meanwhile, back at the station, Elena uses a chair to smash the window and escape.

Alaric and Bonnie take Jeremy to the witches' house and Bonnie tries to use the power of the old witches to revive Jeremy. She casts a spell but begins to worry as the other witches are angry at her for returning and don't want to help. She says there will be consequences, and Alaric tells her to get them to shut up as Jeremy is just a kid. Bonnie continues to cast the spell but her nose begins to bleed and she sobs. She calls to Emily, begging her to help as she loves Jeremy. However, the candles go out. Bonnie sobs as she believes Jeremy is dead for good, but then he wakes up. Bonnie hugs him and thanks Emily for helping. Later, she calls Caroline, who informs Liz that Jeremy is alive. Liz is confused as she thought she killed him, and Caroline explains that she did. She adds that she explained before but had to make Liz forget as she was worried about what she might do. She announces that she doesn't want to lie or be afraid anymore and takes Liz's hand. She says she is still her little girl and the pair hug, crying.

Over at Alaric's apartment, Klaus pours his blood into a vial and asks Stefan if he is ready for a "decade-long bender". Stefan insists that isn't who he is anymore and Klaus is disappointed, saying he would have been a good wingman. He begins to pour the blood away until Stefan stops him. Klaus is pleased and throws him a blood bag, telling him to drink. He adds that he has to finish it all, saying that if Stefan does everything he says, he will save Damon. Stefan drinks it, but Klaus passes him another blood bag and tells him to continue.

Elena runs through the screening looking for Damon. She finds him and drags him away, but as she does Damon gets confused, mixing the present with the past, when he chased Katherine through some woods. He remembers begging Katherine to feed him her blood so they could be together forever. Back in the present, he tries to bite Elena as she begs him to stop, explaining that he is hurting her. Damon suddenly appears to return to the present but collapses. Elena cradles him, while also covering her neck with her hand. She takes Damon back home and when he wakes up, he tells her to leave as he could hurt her. Elena refuses to go and climbs on to the bed with him, cradling him in her arms. She says: "It's OK", but Damon tells her that it's not. He says he blamed Stefan for years but no-one forced him to love Katherine. He asks Elena to tell Stefan he is sorry and Elena promises as she begins to cry.

Jeremy returns home and searches on the internet for "back from the dead". Bonnie speaks to him on webcam and he admits that he feels weird, but Bonnie points out that he has just been brought back from the dead and it's bound to feel strange. She jokes that he can thank her "tomorrow and the next day and the next day". They say good night and Alaric appears, explaining that he's going to head off. However, seeing how Jeremy looks, he decides to stay the night. Jeremy thanks him for everything he has done. However, Alaric teases Jeremy by revealing that he overheard Bonnie's suggestion that he thank her "tomorrow and the next day and the next day".

Over at Alaric's apartment, Stefan is hungrily feeding on blood bags but refuses to drink any more until Klaus sorts out the cure. Klaus tells him that he has a choice to make - he can remain in Mystic Falls, or he can embrace what he truly is, leave town with Klaus, and save Damon's life. Stefan takes another blood bag and begins to drink. Klaus calls over Katherine and compels her to take his blood to Damon and come right back - but she is still on vervain. Katherine rushes off as Stefan worries that she will never deliver the cure to Damon. Meanwhile, Damon is still in bed with Elena and suggests he deserves to die. However, he says that if he had made different choices he wouldn't have met her. He apologizes for everything he's done to her, but Elena says she forgives him and lies down next to him. Damon tells her he knows she will always love Stefan, but adds that he loves her. Elena begins to cry and says she knows that. Damon croaks that if she had met him in 1864 she would have liked him, but Elena says she likes him now just the way he is. Damon closes his eyes and she kisses him. "Thank you," he says. However, Katherine appears and says he should be thanking her as she brought the cure. She says she decided to deliver it because she owed Damon. Elena asks after Stefan, but Katherine asks if she really cares. Eventually, she reveals that Stefan is paying for the cure. She explains that he gave himself over to Klaus and sacrificed everything - including Elena - to save Damon. However, she tells Elena that at least she will have Damon to keep her company. "It's OK to love them both," she adds. "I did." She throws the cure at Damon and walks away.

Elsewhere, Klaus shuts the lid of Elijah's coffin and tells some undertakers to put him with "the others". Stefan receives a text from Elena, explaining that Damon is OK and asking where he is. Klaus asks if Katherine made it in time, and reveals that he knew she was on vervain. However, he adds that she won't get very far and adds that Stefan will help him with that. Stefan asks what he wants and Klaus promises that everything will be explained once they leave town. He adds that he has a gift for Stefan and calls over a terrified young girl. He explains that he wants to make sure Stefan will be of use to him and bites her neck. He adds that he could have compelled the woman but a "real ripper enjoys the hunt". He throws her away and she runs away screaming, but Stefan rushes in front of her and drains her of blood until she collapses on the floor. Klaus is impressed and says that they can leave now.

The episode ends with Jeremy, who believes he has heard a sound. He thinks it is Alaric, but as he looks over the stairs, someone appears behind him. They soon disappear again. He walks downstairs but is shocked to see Anna standing in the kitchen. When he turns around, Vicky is standing there.

"By age sixteen, Rhine Ellery has four years left to live. She can thank modern science for this genetic time bomb. A botched effort to create a perfect race has left all males with a lifespan of 25 years, and females with a lifespan of 20 years. Geneticists are seeking a miracle antidote to restore the human race, desperate orphans crowd the population, crime and poverty have skyrocketed, and young girls are being kidnapped and sold as polygamous brides to bear more children.
When Rhine is kidnapped and sold as a bride, she vows to do all she can do to escape. Her husband, Linden, is hopelessly in love with her, and Rhine can't bring herself to hate him as much as she'd like to. He opens her to a magical world of wealth and illusion she never thought existed, and it almost makes it possible to ignore the clock ticking away her short life. But Rhine quickly learns that not everything in her new husband's strange world is what it seems. Her father-in-law, an eccentric doctor bent on finding the antidote, is hoarding corpses in the basement. Her fellow sister wives are to be trusted one day and feared the next, and Rhine is desperate to communicate to her twin brother that she is safe and alive. Will Rhine be able to escape--before her time runs out?"
I found this book at Target and was extremely happy seeing as for the longest time, I had already read all the books there. So when I got this on Easter, I read it within the first two days and was not disappointed.

Plot: The plot was much different than I was used to. It was sort of like the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield, but with a total twist. One minute she's being drugged in a car, the next she's laying in a beautiful mansion. I liked having a break from the paranormal theme, and this was perfect.

Main Characters: Rhine is independent and will not spend the rest of her short life trapped in a prison that has the illusion of a castle. She does not care about the risks, and will do anything to leave. I love her fiery spirit. Her sister wives are actually some of my favorites though. Jenna would probably be my favorite.

Cover: I actually really like the cover. I LOVE her dress, and the whole theme of it all.

Overall Rating: There is no doubt that this is a 4/4. It was beautifully written, and I loved the twists and turns. You never know what she is going to do, or what is going to happen, next! The next book, Fever, comes out February 2012, and I hope I can make it till then! Check out the new cover July 2011.

Quick Interview with Beth Fantaskey

What can we expect for your 2012 release, Jessica Rules the Dark Side?
Lots of romance, passion, peril - and humor. It's also about finding courage when you're nearly overwhelmed by fear.

How did you come up with Jessica and Lucius?
They just sprang to life in my mind, like they walked into my office as fully formed people. I never actually sat down and considered what traits or mannerisms they might have. From page one, I just let them "speak."

Do you have any more planned for Jekel and Hyde?
No, not right now. My next book is about new characters.

Do you have any new projects coming up?
Yes, as I mentioned above, I have another paranormal romance coming out in 2013. It's a different kind of twist on an old story, which is something I like to play around with. I'm excited about it!
What advice do you have for aspiring writers?
I always urge people to treat writing like anything else they want to be good at – which means practicing every day. I get the sense that some people think writing is a “gift” that you either have, or don’t have. But it’s also a talent that you can develop with hard work and practice. So I always encourage new writers to sit down and work, just like you’d practice piano if you wanted to be a concert pianist, or do soccer drills if you wanted to be a soccer star.

I worked as a professional writer for nearly twenty years before I tried a novel, and I learned something every day that I sat at the keyboard.

What is the best/worst part of being a writer?
The best part is using my imagination every day. The worst part is waiting for books to come out after they're done. I'm always impatient with the lag time, but that's just the way the industry works.

What is one tip you have for writers and readers?
My "tip" is actually a question that my husband asked me once, when I was getting stressed about a deadline. He walked into my office, saw me working like a maniac, and noted, "This is supposed to be fun, isn't it?" That little question actually changed my life. I ask it of myself all the time now, and if I'm not enjoying what I'm doing, I make adjustments.

Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick (Cover Release)

Ohmigosh, look what I found!

Expected Release: Oct. 4, 2011

Synopsis: The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They’ve overcome the secrets riddled in Patch’s dark past…bridged two irreconcilable worlds…faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust…and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they’ve worked for—and their love—forever.

Excerpt: He closed the distance between us, and just when I thought he’d drawn me against him, he stopped, holding himself in check. I exhaled, trying not to cry. He leaned his elbow on the door jam, just above my ear. He smelled so devastatingly familiar, soap and spice, the heady scent bringing back a rush of memories so pleasurable, it only made the current moment that much more difficult to bear. I was seized by the desire to touch him. To trace my hands over his skin, to feel his arms tighten securely around me. I wanted him to nuzzle my neck, his whisper to tickle my ear as he said private words that belonged only to me. I wanted him near, so near, with no thought of letting go.

“This isn’t over,” I said. “After everything we’ve been through, you don’t get the right to brush me off. I’m not letting you off that easily.” I wasn’t sure if it was a threat, my last stab at defiance, or irrational words spoken straight from my splintered heart.

“I want to protect you,” Patch said quietly.

He stood so close. All strength and heat and silent power. I couldn’t escape him, now or ever. He’d always be there, consuming my every thought, my heart locked in his hands; I was drawn to him by forces I couldn’t control, let alone escape.

“But you didn’t.”

Am I excited? Yes. Did I fan myself at Patch's shirtless chest? Yes! Did my legs go numb? A little bit. I need this to be released! Thank you so much to Kayla over at Shattered Memories for posting this!

Vampire Diaries--Season 2, Episode 21: "The Sun Also Rises"

Matt shoots Tyler while he is attacking him and Caroline as a werewolf. Tyler is wounded and Caroline gets out of the cage to check on him.

Katherine tells Damon that Jenna’s transformation is a sure thing and there’s nothing to do about it.

Jenna tells Elena that a vampire grabbed her when she got out of the house and she doesn’t remember anything or where they are, in a Circle. Jenna finally finds out that she was bitten, killed, and is now a vampire. Greta offers her blood to Jenna and Jenna quickly drinks her blood.

Jeremy and Bonnie are still hidden and trying to find a way to keep from Elena becoming a vampire.

Elijah reveals how Elena can survive the sacrifice to Stefan and Alaric.

Jenna tells Elena how it feels for her to be a vampire. Her senses growing stronger and her not wanting to feel anything. Greta brings Jules to the Circle.

Caroline and Matt make it back to her house and Matt tells her he was on vervain when she compelled him and her mother always hated vampires.

Damon tells John that Elena is with Klaus and the sacrifice is beginning. John tells Damon that he ruined Elena’s life.

At the Circle, Jules tries to attack Klaus, but is killed by him when he rips out her heart.

Jeremy finds Emily’s history and mentions that his ancestor, John, was in her life. Bonnie jokes that she had a thing for him.

Alaric tells Jeremy that Jenna was turned and Bonnie is told by Elijah and Stefan. Stefan tells Bonnie that he’ll put himself as a sacrifice in place of Jenna because Klaus would want him more.

Jenna tells Elena that she couldn’t believe she almost gave up being Elena’s and Jeremy’s guardian. Elena tells Jenna that being a vampire has made her faster and stronger. She also tells her that when she gets the chance…run.

Caroline and Matt find Tyler on her front porch where Tyler seems confused to see Caroline. Is it just me or is Matt grinding anyone else’s gears?

Elijah tells Stefan that he is very honorable. Stefan asks Elijah if he is honorable because it seems suspicious that he is going up against his own brother. Elijah tells Stefan that he had more family, but Klaus killed them all. Elijah then tells Stefan that there is sometimes honor in revenge and he will not fail him.

Elena tells Jenna to focus on what Stefan and Klaus are saying when Stefan arrives. Jenna tells Elena that Stefan will take her place.

Matt tells Caroline he doesn’t know if he can get past her being a vampire. Matt tells her that he has a sucky life, but he wants to live a normal one and not a paranormal one.

Bonnie casts a spell on Jeremy when they kiss to knock him out to keep him from leaving and keeping Alaric and John in the house as well to keep them safe.

Klaus attacks Stefan to keep him silent. Jenna attacks Greta and Klaus stakes her. Elena tells her to turn off her emotions so she won’t be scared anymore. Klaus stakes Jenna in the heart, killing her.

Greta pours blood, I’m thinking its Jenna’s, into a pot. Stefan apologizes to Elena, but she quickly shushes him. Klaus tells Elena it’s time. Klaus thanks Elena, but she quickly snaps a “Go to hell” at him. Klaus bites her and starts to suck her blood, where she willingly lets him. Elena drops to the ground as Klaus is done and Klaus starts his transformation under the full moon. Bonnie walks in and starts her casting while Damon snaps Greta’s neck. Klaus sees Bonnie is not dead as she tortures him. Damon takes Elena and Stefan tells him he is not leaving until he knows Klaus is dead. Bonnie stops and Elijah walks up to Klaus. Klaus tells Elijah that their family is safe and Elijah is reluctant to kill him. Elijah apologizes to Stefan and Bonnie and takes Klaus.

John hands Jeremy things to give to Elena and tells him that they need to take care of each other. Damon brings Elena to the house and Damon whispers to her that he can’t stand her hating him for eternity. Alaric asks about Jenna; Damon apologizes to Jeremy about it. Elena wakes up unscathed as John leaves the house and falls to the ground.

Tyler awakes in Caroline’s house and discovers he was shot. Tyler tells Caroline that she was right and he never should have come back. Caroline tells him that he shouldn’t leave again and that Matt had broken up with her. Tyler thanks her for taking care of him.

They get ready for John’s funeral and Jeremy hands Elena what John wanted to give to her, his ring and a letter. Elena apologizes to Jeremy for losing so many people. He counters that he still has her and they hug.

In John’s letter, he apologizes for failing her. He says that it’s the end for him, but the beginning for her. They go to the cemetery and you hear John asking her to not forgive this, but forget it. He tells her that he will always love her as a vampire or a human.

Damon shows Stefan his wolf bite. Stefan says he will find a cure for Damon. Damon tells Stefan to keep this from Elena because she doesn’t need any more grieving.

Tell me what you think! What do you think will happen in the season finale?
